Important Message from Dr. Lee:

FCPC, Florida Council of Private Colleges, Inc./CPCA, Council of Private Colleges of America, Inc.

Due to inquiries from other states and countries about joining the FCPC the board after much prayer, very insightful thought, and healthy deliberation voted unanimously to create the two different organizations in the following manner:

  1. Do a name search for CPCA, Council of Private Colleges of America, Inc. to see that the name was available for registration. It was very well pointed out that we needed to have the word America in the name of the national/international organization. This was done with the same board members serving and we are doing the name registration in all 50 states and US territories
  2. That we would change the name of the existing FCPC to the CPCA name in order to capture the longevity of the history of the existing FCPC under the CPCA as that would benefit all those joining and the efforts of the CPCA on a national/international basis.
  3. That we would immediately incorporate a new FCPC in Florida to protect that name and function as the Florida affiliate of the CPCA. This has been done and consists of the same board members as the CPCA(former FCPC).
  4. The function of Certification of our institutions would be solely done by the CPCA. This would benefit FCPC members by having a membership certificate from the state FCPC with a separate certification certificate from the national CPCA.
  5. CPCA Certification annual fees for FCPC members would be 50% of the CPCA membership fees. This single annual fee would constitute both their CPCA annual membership and CPCA annual certification fee.
  6. That institutions from other states and countries would become members of the CPCA and have annual membership fees and their CPCA annual certification fees would be 50% of the CPCA annual membership fees.
  7. When there were sufficient CPCA members from a single state or country to form another state or Country, (name of state or country) Council of Private Colleges, Inc. which was started by the CPCA as an affiliate that their annual fee structure would function the same as #5 above for FCPC members.
  8. That both the FCPC and CPCA would have their own mission, purpose, objectives, forms, policies,
procedures that would be in harmony with each other.
  9. That the FCPC and CPCA should both have a Telecom Center, 4085 Bothwell Terrace, Tallahassee,
    Florida 32317 address with Mailing and Field Service Address: 41 N. 20th Street, #17, Haines City,FL 33844-4638
  10. The FCPC and CPCA would have separate web sites. They are:
    FCPC: www.fcpcamerica.org , and CPCA: www.cpcamerica.org

The separate web sites will be fully operational with their own mission, purpose, objectives, forms, policies, procedures that are in harmony with each other in May 2005. Each institution with certification from the FCPC will receive new certificates in the immediate future reflecting these changes. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you with quality faith based education standards and principles that keep the Lord’s testimony above reproach.

Yours in His service, Dr. Earle E. Lee, President, Proverbs 3:5&6
