Why
should you choose a Christian,
faith based CPCA college?
God’s
Word says, in John 8:32, “And ye shall know the truth,
and the truth shall set you free.” Jesus himself stated
in John 14:6, “…….I am the way, the truth,
and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” All
truth is God’s truth. To know Jesus Christ as one’s own
personal Lord and Saviour is walk in the light and the truth of Jesus
Christ himself.
Let
us look at answers to valid questions in light of the above statements
based upon God’s Word.
- If I live in the world; why should I get my college training
in a Christian faith based FCPC college that is not part of the system
in which I live and work?
The key word in the question is “training”! Yes, you live
in the world, and yes, you will work in the world. However, you do not
want the world’s thinking and philosophies to guide your mind.
You want truth! You will find that in a Christian, faith based FCPC
college.
- What about academics?
Christian faith based college graduates have excelled in almost every
field imaginable. One of the reasons is that Christian faith based
colleges, as a whole, do an excellent job in training their students
academically. Do you want to learn graphic design? You cannot do better
than a Christian faith based college. Are you interested in business
management? A Christian faith based college can train you. How about;
English? ; Science? ; Elementary or Secondary education?; Missions?;
Becoming a Pastor? Are you interested in being a pilot on the mission
field? Well, you can get yourself into a Christian faith based college
based upon the truths of God’s Word, the Bible and achieve these
goals for your life’s calling.
- What if the Christian faith based college is not accredited?
Does the Christian faith based college you are interested in properly
train its students? Does this Christian faith based college prepare its
graduates to succeed in the real world? These two questions are far
more important than the first. There are successful medical doctors,
lawyers, accountants, bankers, businessmen and businesswomen,
musicians, and other skilled professionals that completed their
undergraduate degrees in Christian faith based colleges that were not
USDE accredited. These undergraduate degreed individuals were accepted
into graduate colleges for their respective professions and do very
well in the work that God has called them to do.
- What about my influence on the world?
Some individuals believe they need to be in a state college so they can
influence the direction of that state college. Their reasoning is,
“Shouldn’t I be salt and light in a state college instead
of going to a Christian faith based college? While you may have an
influence in any institution of higher learning, the primary reason you
go to any college is for you yourself to be influenced by the teaching,
not to be an influence! Being trained, being influenced by godly
instructors and role models who love the Lord! That alone lays the
foundation for your service here on earth and forever in eternity.
“Blessed
is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth
in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his
delight is in the law of the Lord; and in hisw law doth he meditate day
and night, And he shall be like a tree planted by the riverws of water,
that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf shall not wither;
and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalm 1: 1–3
